Thanks for your interest. They are Australian Magpies (Gymnorhina tibicen) which grow 37-44cm. If there is a flock close by you won’t need an alarm clock as they give out a pleasant “warble” at dawn. As with native fauna it is not recommended that they are fed by humans however, in extreme heatwaves water can be left in the garden.
